Arcadia was originally sold as 5-acre citrus-dotted parcels for city dwellers looking for a weekend retreat. Few of these large parcels remain, but there are still many one-acre and half-acre homesites that feature larger homes. This is a such a desirable area due to its proximity to downtown, the airport and Scottsdale. Property values have always remained high and are most similar to Paradise Valley.
The architecture style varies, but the most popular right now is the Ranch Home, single-story with a very traditional interiors.
The best address. Exeter Boulevard is considered to be the nicest street in Arcadia. It features a number of estate homes on mostly acre lots.
